Local Historical Monument

The Cathedral was built in 1946 according to the project of the architects Alejandro Bustillo and Miguel Cesari. Part of that project was left undone until 1995, when important interior finishing works were carried out with modern materials and techniques. At the beginning of the 20th century this piece of land was occupied by the police station, the Court and some hotels. Built in a neo-Gothic style with regional stone, the Cathedral is a representative landmark of the city. Its stained glass windows were made by the French artist Thomas and represent themes and characters of the local history that are worth discovering. The spire of the tower reaches 69mts tall.
